The 456L will work as a door lock interface in the 05 Magnum.

Directechs lists that the factory alarm will arm when locking with the door open, but can only be disarmed with the factory remote.

You do not mention what type of device you are installing, but if it is a remote start you may want to take a look at this piece, it will lock/unlock, arm/disarm, and has a Sentry chip in it that can be used for transponder bypass.

Hope this helps.

i'm installing a galaxy 5100rs remote start alarm. i've been trying to get the chrysler Doorlock Alarm & Interface/Bypass (CHDL7-PK2)for a while now but i'm not a dealer. so i'm going to just do it indivually. one for the trasnponder and another for the door locks and trunk.

Do you mean it keeps running even after you hit the brakes to shut remote start down?

if you start the car with the key can you take it out and it keeps running? if so you might have some feedback on an ignition wire keeping the car running.

I didn't use a diode that's why. works good now but what about the 556l for the door locks.

You mean the 456L, correct?

Once all connections are made you must learn the values of lock and unlock. This is explained in detail in the installation manual on page 2. It involves hooking the blue/white to ground, disconnecting it, tapping it to ground once, reconnecting it and pushing the lock button on the door. To program unlock you follow the same procedure but tap it to ground twice. Just follow it step by step and it should work fine. I have had great success using these modules in the past.
