HI all,

new here and to electronics so go easy on me.;)

I see from reading through this greatly informative site that i have to use a mutlimeter to check for (-) and (+).. how do i check for them using a multimeter? does anyone have a wiring diagram for a toyota celica GT4(alltrac) 1993?

I am hoping to fit a toad AI606 to my car in a few days, can anyone tell me what things i'll need apart from copious tins of beer, breaks, wire cutters/soldering iron/multimeter/shrinktube/???

thanks for help,

tony.

Not to disencourage you, but if you do not know how to use a DMM is probably best for you to get the Alarm installed at a shop. If you decide to do it yourself, search on how to use a DMM on the web.

I am just thinking about your safety and the safety of your car.

on the dmm there is a blk and red lead...   once you set the voltage to dc... ground your black lead to a known good ground...  use the red to probe wires when voltage is present the dmm will read the voltage.  i would get the write-up for the car and use this as a guide ... remeber to always verify your connections with the dm for proper installation
