This isnt exactly make/model specific, more specific to this particular vehicle.

Just bought a '93 GMC Suburban SLE 1500. It has a Viper (unknown model) Alarm/Remote Start/Keyless Entry system in it. Which works good. But i'd like to find out what model it is so i can pull up the manual and possibly make use of the "AUX" button on my remotes (trigger some lights).

I havent exactly went on the hunt to find the brain, i havent had the chance yet, but i was wondering if anyone had a good idea on where it would be? Also, (topic change) what is the best way to go about using the Auxillary to trigger some lights?

Thanks
-Jim

Look near the ignition harness, it usually mounted pretty close to that.

If it has an AUX output, it generally will be low current negative 200ma, so you will need to wire up a relay to switch whatever device your going to power.

Found it... it was zip tied (really good too) under the driver-side dash with the relay pack...

FWIW: its a Viper 550 ESP.   I found the owner's manual... tried to find some other information (mostly the installation stuff), wasnt able.

Going to play around with it some more, its a pretty decent alarm.

Thanks,
-Jim
