im having a problem with the door locking sytem , i got them to all lock . to unlock, only the driver door unlocks i tryed hitting the button twice to see if the passenger door will unlock but no luck thier. i have installed asian wolf 2009 v 2 remote start to the truck i also have the 556uw by pass by direct electronics
1) is their such a way to have all the doors open ? and so how ?am i close of getting it right ?
2) is their a security feature from the factory that allows you not to have a remote start. cause i slipped the key in and then pressed the door lock button on th remote and the doors locked for a quick second and then opened.i tried to manually push the door lock but their is resistance keeping them open when key is in the ignition .
3)what system do i use for this install for the power door locks ? reverse?negative?
4)what are they refering to when the wiring diagrams say refer to direct fax document 1070?
5)why do i have to install the 556uw when the key looks like a normal key ?their seems to be no chip in the key its all metal !can this be why its not unlocking the doors?
by the way your guys been so helpfull and quick to reply ill have to get with you people and buy you a beer one day !

1. There should be, assuming that your truck came with power door locks. Try programming the alarm to send a double pulse unlock.
2. Is your truck manual or automatic? If its manual, did you bypass the clutch? With the new Toyota's if you have the drivers door open, with the key in the ignition, the vehicle will NOT allow you to lock the doors manually or by pressing buttons. Its a security/safety feature so that you dont lock your keys in your vehicle.
3. Did you add actuators yourself, or did the truck come with power door locks? If it came with power door locks, then use negative.
4. Which Tundra do you own? The kind with 2 doors? 4 doors? If you own the 2dr type, then dont worry about 1070. If you own the 4dr type, then you've got to make a relay in the door to control the locks with an aftermarket system.
5. You dont have to use a bypass if there is no transponder. If you have the key in the ignition, you CAN NOT lock the doors manually or by pressing buttons. Try shooting a double pulse for your unlock.
Double check your wiring. Make sure you grabbed the correct lock wires, and not the lock motor wires.
1. First, tell us how you connected the locks so far.
Also, is the truck regular cab, extended cab, or a true 4-door? That makes a BIG difference on how the locks work.
2. Almost every Toyota has that feature. They're just trying to keep you from locking your keys in the car. Doesn't affect installing a remote start in any way.
3. Refer to #1. Depends on which body style.
4. If you've got the 4-door, the locking system is quite complex to interface with. You need to run a couple of wires into the door, and two diodes and one relay are needed.
If you can find/get a copy of that Document 1070, it is accurate, but provides no explanation of what/why you are doing. But see if you can get it anyway.
5. I haven't seen a Tundra with a transponder key; no 556U should be needed.

i appreciate the answer i went to the truck and i then checked something .i would like to tell you that your the correct answer in #1 . it was programing the alarm to have a double pulse , along with my already installed relay and two diodes and that was it !!!
i found something else too. when y ou wire from the drivers door you have to use relay and diodes and set the alarm to have double pulse . if you go to the passenger side you only need a couple of diodes and it will open on a single pulse.simple check for your self by open the door with the key from both sides the driver takes two turns open all doors and the passenger opens with one turn all doors. just locate the wire in the passenger side that sends the signal and your their .
please note this vechile in referance is a tundra 4 door .
