I have a compustar 2W900FM-AS alarm and my car won't luck/unlock. It used to work fine.
when i unplugged the harness on the brain that goes to the hood switch and e-brake it locks/unclocks and arms correctly. The wire to the e-brake seems fine. Is the wire goign to the the hood switch supposed to be grounded? i see 3 wires in my hood. Two for the siren ond one for the switch but the one for the switch is no connected. I tried grounding and not grounding it and neither works.

remote-start won't work like this either.

Make , model & year of vehicle please. Try this, plug all harnesses into the CPU and press button IV, this will tell you if you have a zone triggered. If there's a zone that is grounded then you will need to run a new wire to the trigger. If you do not, then try to re-program the remote controls by toggling the ignition 5 times within 3 seconds and press button I on the 2 way remote and LOCK on the one way remote.

The door triggers you needed to catch both passenger side and driver side and diode isolate then so you don't get have them interfer with each other. Go here to get a pdf of the user manual and go to page 9 and you will find the error codes to tell you what triggered the problem .
