Basically, I figure I could do a whole bunch of digging and research, but I concluded "why reinvent the wheel" if you guys could point me in the right direction for some systems to consider...

I'm looking for any recommendations on a system with the following capabilities:

  • 2 remotes
  • All power windows down
  • All power windows up
  • Lock
  • Single door and Dual door Unlock
  • Remote start
  • Basic alarming functions such as light blink/horn honk/siren
  • Sensitivity to doors opening, glass breaking, or vehicle motion (rocking/tilting/bumping)
  • Starter Kill
  • Fuel Pump Kill
  • Pager/LCD Remote with remote notification short of cellular range would be pretty BAD ASS as well.
  • Any other highly recommended security features I haven't thought of here that I'm simply not privy to, being behind the times and all.

I haven't even started looking at systems really, all I know from past experience are Clifford, Viper, a few other oddball brands, but I don't know who the top manufacturer is today for security and reliability...

Just looking for a push in the right direction, or praise anyone can give to a system with these features that I should consider-

THANKS for any/all input on the matter in advance!

BTW- Vehicle is a 1986 GMC Jimmy (Sierra Classic, to be specific) with power windows in the 2 doors and tailgate, and power locks.  I'm piling all my best audio equip into this thing so I'd really like some peace of mind when I lock it and walk away, in a nutshell.

Compustar 2W900FM-AS or the 2W8000FM-AS is just what you want. The other added items that you wanted such as window control, glass breakage, fuel pump kill, tilt sensor are all extra modules that you will need to add to the system and you will have to have the installer account for all this when installation is estimated. Both systems above are capable of doing all the above features you listed & if wanted you can add the channel expander module to the system for an additional 5 AUX channels.

Or try this big dog. Ultra Starts u4560 alarm remote start, has 4 programable aux outputs up to 1 mile of range, does window roll up. again you will need some extra modules and such.  I just did the 3265 this morning, which is just the remote starter of this version. Easy to use, awesome range......cool remote.

My man, Xtreme J, beat me to the punch, 4560 has remote start, just did an SSR and automated the convertible top from remote. Also has aux sensor input, I used it for the proximity sensor. Very user friendly and versitle. The 670 fm 2 way is just alarm, 1 2 way remote, 1 1 way and it's sweet. Check it out, www.ultrastarters.com  read up on G series wireless, program from your laptop.

I'm not crazy about compustar, but it is a good unit, especially the range...
