Hello Everyone,

Quick question, I'm going to install an autopage 860 & a 530t on a 1999 jeep cherokee sport classic and I believe it has b type locks.  Which type of locks are the b type neg or pos?  I need to know what type of window system is on the jeep a,b, or c.  If anybody has a wiring diagram that would help and be greatly appreciated.   Thanks in advance

DEI lists the locks as negative trigger but require relays (they evidentally require more than the 200ma output from the DEI brains).

Windows are Type A.

Hope this helps.

Hello Everyone,

Quick question, I 'm going to hook up (2) 530t to a 1999 jeep cherokee sport so all 4 windows go up and down.  In order to to get the 1 touch on all 4 windows can I go in the master switch in drivers door or do I have to wire into each door to get the 1 touch up and down?  This will be running off autopage 860.  Thank you in advance.

ok i just relized i think of what your trying to do you want to use the one touch at all the window

look like your going to have to go to all the doors to do that in between the switch and the motor wires in the doors for the one touch. you are going to have to extend the wires to reach and run them thru the door boots. but thats only if you want the one touch dont forget to program the 530's for this.

Shaggy, all 530T's have 1-touch, you can't turn it off.

If you get the wires in each door, you will have 1-touch at each door, and at the drivers door for all 4 doors. Most work required.

If you get the wires in the drivers kick, you will have 1-touch for all the windows....but only at the drivers switch.

Hello Everyone,

I'm installing a RS 860 LCD on a 99 Jeep Cherokee Classic and I'm looking for the neutral safety wire, it's location and the wire color.  Thank you in advance.

if the neutral safety switch is located AFTER the shifter, no need to connect it. simply ground the wire from the rs. If before, I can't help you, none of my sources statet your vehicle requires it.

if you are concerened for possible liability issues do the following...

once the rs system is fully installed...put the car in drive and see if it starts with the remote. Of course be in the vehicle..make sure there is plenty of safe room in front of you for the vehicle to surge forward. be prepared to step on the brake in case.

If the vehicle does not move,,all is safe.

If it surges forward..you need to repost if anyone else knows how to do the neutral safety switch in you  vehicle as I do not have that info at hand.

good luck

Agreed, can't hurt to be "too" safe.

By "after the shifter" I meant as long as the remote start crank wire is connected before where the neutral safety switch is you are safe, the RS unit can not start the vehicle unless in park or neutral.

If the opposite is true there is a concern. Although the remote is on your keychain, and on a vehicle that is operating correctly you can't remove the key unless the vehicle is in park, it is not something that can easily happen by accident.

But I will always lean towards safety first as if something is possible to go wrong, that means there is always a chance.

Perform the test I posted if you can't find any info about your vehicles NSS and post if it starts, We can take it from there.

Good Luck

Hello,  I'm installing a rs 860 on my 99 jeep cherokee and I want the back up lights to come on when the alarm is triggered but I would like to know if I can get them to flash alternately from the park lights.  If so could I connect a relay to the white wire on the module to the back up lights wire and do I need a diode (if so what size) or will the relay serve as an isolater. Thanks again in advance.

Hello, here's my new question.  Can I connected the back up lights to the park lights output wire( along with the park lights) with a relay without burning out that output.  I want the back ups to flash with the park lights.

given that the backup lights are the same polarity as your parking lights, you should be able to use a relay to isolate the two wires to turn on at the same time without interfering with each other.

You will have to use two relays and wire it up like you would for a European car with dual parking light circuits.

How would you wire it up European car style.

Get two relays, connect your parking light wire from your alarm to 86 on both relays. Connect a ground wire to 85 on both relays. Connect a 12v fused to 87 on both relays. Then connect your jeeps parking light circuit to 30 on one relay. And connect the reverse light circuit to 30 on the 2nd relay.

I have this print out and the gray at the coil is not right.  I went to the pcm black plug on fender well gray wire, still no dice.  I went to the injectors, still no correct reading.  Trying to find out is there some place else I can check?

I have a situation with the rear defroster, There a 4 wires behind the defroster switch.  I tested each to find out which one gave me 12v when I turn the switch on and I connected to it with a relay.  Now the defroster doesn't  when you turn it on from the switch in the car but the switch lights up when I push the ch5 button on the remote.  I don't think it's working from the remote just lighting the switch up.  Can anyone tell me what I did wrong.

ok, I have the rs 860 installed on the 99 jeep cherokee everything is working fine except the check engine light stays.  When it's on remote start and when I turn it on with the key.  I powered up both ignition wires but  I noticed the 2nd ign wire when testing only gives 12v  in the on and not the start.  The first ignition  when turning the key, is powered up on and start but the 2nd powers up just on on.  During remote both power up at on and start but the check engine stays on even when the key is in after stepping on the brake to disengage remote start. Any suggestions or is there a way to reset the check engine light?

Everything is working fine.  Could not find the tach wire with proper reading so I went with voltage sensing, works fine.  The check engine light was sending false signals had that reset.  The only thing I need to  know is how to connect the rear defrost to alarm remote.  Thank if anyone can help.
