I've got a 2000 GMC Sierra that has had a remote start installed for quite some time now..  All of a sudden, the truck isn't turning over when I use the remote start.  I smash the button, the truck cranks, but don't get any ignition.  The radio, a/c, etc. fires up, just no ignition on the truck.  The remote start will try to fire it up 3 times and then quits..

To me this sounds like a loose connection on the security system (can't think of what it's called at the time being).  Does this sound reasonable?  I didn't install this in my truck, and I'm missing it, so where do I need to look??

I didn't think about the programming, and I did replace the battery in my truck a 2 weeks ago, so that sounds like a logical answer...  I will try and find the user manuals to find out what kind of bypass it is, (as I have moved since then, and can't find them - Hence the post)...

You may have to reprogram the tach setting for the remote starter or maybe just unplug it completely and then plug it back in. If the main brain has seen a logic lock up from either a power spike or dip when the battery was replaced this should clear it.

Check to see if you blew a fuse. Some r/s have two or more fuses that energize certain circuits and the one that energizes the starter lead may have blew when you changed the battery.
