I have installed many of these units and all with great success up untill this weekend. I had installed everything in a 1998 infinity. Everything worked great when the customer left but 2 days later the lock stopped working. The remote start and unlock work just fine. I looked at all the wiring and double checked everthing. The green lock wire is not working. There is no output from the brain itself. Could this possably be a faulty brain or perhaps a programming issue? Has anyone else run into this problem?

Infinity lock are just regular type B.
Dont see how the brain could be damaged, unless you connected it to the wrong lock wire or it was grounded (both cases might cause the wire to pull more than the 200mA the brain can supply, thus messing up the brain)But if this is the case, i would assume that the unlock wire would go bad too. (dont really got an extra system to test this theory)

Or its just a faulty brain, swap it out and see.

I thought it was a faulty brain but for it to work for 2 days and quit I thought was a little strange. Anyhoo looks like a swap because I know I tagged the correct wire lock wire. Thank s for the reply.

keep in mind the door lock outputs are a transistor low current out... this is why i always use a 451M when hooking up keyless to a DEI unit ( we have hundreds left over from all the systems we sold that didnt want keyless, since they come with all the Clifford product N/C)

you cant overload the output if using relays and a dead short will simply blow the 451M fuse..... i've never had to replace a brain yet for doorlock output issues.....

Quick follow up.

Replaced the brain and that was it. No problems or issues. Just a faulty brain.
