in order for a switch to function as a 1 touch, you need to splice between the switch & the window motor. Start in the dri. door. If you don't care if the pass. side switch has the option then you can just tap the wires for that door in the kick panel.

Does anything in the dash energize when you try to remote start?

Does the starter 'crank'? If not, check to make sure you wired the starter kill circuit in properly.

I am pretty sure that if you connect your starter output wire to the outside from the clutch switch the starter will engage. If you sit in the car and depress the clutch will the remote start work?

Scratch that...

Viper does not make a remote start for a manual transmission (atleast not in the U.S. market). You should NOT be installing a DEI remote start into a manual transmission vehicle. It does not have the proper safety precautions required for manual transmissions.

Get a Compustar.

i know its not made for a manual trans, and i dont wanna buy another alarm since i installed it in my car already...

I just wanna get the remote start to work....

It is Not legal, NOR SAFE to install that system in a manual transmission vehicle. It is not designed for a manual and should not be used in such an application!

pick up the 689M manual transmission module and it'll be doable and safe....

and yes, you do have to do a clutch bypass of some type.....

kgerry...what is the 689M?

If this device will allow the Viper to operate safely on a manual transmission then...

The easiest I have found with most Fords is to just go to the out side of the clutch switch. Typically the switch connects the wire from the key cylinder to the solenoid under the hood...if the clutch is depressed the circuit is complete, if it's not the circuit is open. If this is not the case with your car, you can go directly to the solenoid under the hood.
