As for starting the car with the key your relay pack could have a stuck starter kill antigrind relay tap it a few times and see if that fixes it. If it doesnt you will prob have to replace it or remove the starter kill antigrind part. You should take it back to where you had it installed and have them look at it.

I had the same problem with one of my other cars with the key not allowing you to start your car. So I asked here on this site and this is what they told me:

https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=84288&PN=1https://www.the12volt.com/installbay/forum_posts.asp?tid=84288&PN=1

what do you mean by coding, the install guide tells you the steps in which to program the features of your alarm. This is done by using the remote, your ignition, and the vallet switch. I have an rsx 3.5 as well in my cars, the only programing I did was to learn the tach, and I changed how some of the outputs worked so I could use window modules.

The Clifford system will be able to be installed into this vehicle without a problem. You have to grab all the trigger points that you want monitored by the Clifford alarm system. Hook up all the necessary ignition, acc & power/ground wires & then hook up the sensors that you have as well. The Eclipse isn't going to be hard for an alarm install but if you eventually want to add the RS portion, make sure that the Clifford is capable of installing into a manual vehicle before you go any further.

i just finish installing my remote start 2 days ago, and while i was trying to clean up all the wires and stuff, i had to disconnet most of the wires to do the clean up

but now everything is plug back in my remote start is back to the previos problem. the remote start brain is not getting any signal

the previous problem i had was i was not getting a good 12v .. but now i check the 12v cord and it getting lots of voltage..   I had done a lot of button pressing from last time, and i mihgt have trigger something to make it work last time, and since i total d/c everything i might have forgot soemthing

one thing that my rs is not working is i cant start my car with they key, this happen even when i had my remote start working, i had to start up the car by remote 2 days ago, so how do i the tach learnin is it nesscary to do it?.. if i can fire up my car how can  i do the tach learning.. beside the tach learn is there anything else i need to do??

my alarm is working fine like before, i was just using my alarm for the last week w/o the remote untill i figure that the 12v was bad.. but i double check with a mulitmeter that i am getting voltage directly from the battery

thanks

just a litle bit more.. i know for the fact that it seems to me that no power is going to the relay or my remote is not giving signal to it.

i know that i need to hear the little click sound on the relay  if i press the rs start twice.. but i got nothing, it seems like i dont a 12v connects to it.. and i get the signal on my remote " the signal icon will be displayed if a command is transmited to the vehicle but a command page is not recieved"

Whats funny is that manual for Clifford skims the surface of how to install several features of the alarm. I wish I knew where I could find "Tech tip 1041",wherever that  is. It sure isn't in the install manualposted_image

Has anyone else noticed the poster has installed an automatic remote starter on a manual transmission car? Very unsafe.
