I'm using a Hornet(DEI)560T RS and everything works well expect the WHITE/ blue wire is requiring a double pulse (GND) to activate the RS. Why is this and how can I fix it.

I'm also using a Viper 556T puts out a Gnd pulse of 1 sec.
How can I fix this issue. I tried using a SPDT relay by attaching the 87A and 87 to the WHITE/ blue of the and the 30 to gnd. Tied the Coil to the 1sec output of the 556T. Well it didn't work. I was afraid that there would not be enough time between the action of the relay...Well I was right there was not.

You have to put the gnd twice to the WHITE/ blue. Is this normal or is this something my box is having a issue with.

Any help is greatly appreiacated.

Any ideas on how to set up a relay or two to make a 1 second pulse into a double pulse to get the RS to work with the 556T Day/Temp auto start timer.

Thanks
Jamie

A DEI 452T should work. It will convert a single input pulse into a double output pulse.

DEI 452T Door Lock Pulse Generator
Description:
The DEI 452T converts a latched trigger input to momentary pulsed negative and positive outputs for door lock interface. Can be used to add door lock interface with systems without door lock outputs suck as the Hornet 719T alarm. Includes dual polarity outputs for cars that require double pulse to unlock all doors.

Not sure how that will help me. It seems as though it is just backwards of what I'm needing to do. I have a 1sec pulse(GND) that I need to make into two pulses(GND) to ingage my remote start via alarm or 566T timer.

I'm thinking I could use one of these with the right wiring set up. Use the one second pulse to fire the timer relay and the remote start and 2sec's later have it set for the Timer relay to send another pulse(Gnd).

Anyone have any other ideas on how I might be able to do this without having to buy this timer.

DEI 528T Pulse Timer Relay
Description:
This special accessory is an adjustable timer with a built-in 30A relay. The "pulse" timer can be triggered by a + or - pulse or a change of state (from + to - or vice-versa) on the stripe wire. This product has many popular uses by installers of mobile electronics, some examples: what do you do with a multi-channel remote when the customer has one car and no truck release? Add a pulse timer relay. If you need to disconnect a circuit for a certain amount of time, so that the alarm does not activate, you can use the pulse-timer's normally closed circuit, pulse the stripe wire to disconnect the circuit for up to 90 seconds. Adjustable timer from 0 - 90 seconds.

After reading what the 452T does...Will it work for me? If I put a 1 sec gnd pulse on the trigger wire what type of output will I be getting?

Thanks for the above replys gents.
