does anyone know what the advertised range of the avistart 4000 is? i tried checking on the directed site but they dont list any specs. for the range.

Which is under OPTIMUM conditions. My experiences, real world, are between 300 and 400 ft.

Agreed cntrylvr, it depends on many factors what will allow the maximum range. Mike only requested the "advertised range",

But realisically if you needed to park your car 1/4 mile away you would want a system with a 2way remote that could notify you if it responded...or if virtually unlimited range is desired and you have the money a GPS tracking system will allow you to monitor and control functions from the internet and/or phone.
