OK, got another one here for ya...I hate Dodges!!
Got a 02 Durango today for keyless/entry and ran into something I never seen before. Got down to the accessory wires...this one has 3, 1 for A/C compressor, 1 for A/C blower and 1 for radio and accessories. So, I need to basically power the 2 for the A/C system and have 1 acces. output wire from RS unit, which is a AutoPage cpx-rs2. OK, so no biggie, use a relay and power it, no problem. Heres where I found the problem...at rest, both accessory wires show ground..so when I tried connecting a relay, its like it reverse activated the relay?? So I tried a diode...that worked fine, but the diode got way too hot. Maybe a bigger diode?? I had a standard 6-amp diode that I use doing the isolating and stuff. Anyhow, used this and it worked perfectly, just got too hot. So would a 10-amp diode do the trick without OVER doing it?? Or if I use a relay, whats the deal with the (-) backfeed when the accessory circuits are at rest?? I have never ran into that before. Again, any information would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!!
I can't remember the specifics...but I wired it as I would under any normal circumstance. The idea of it was to be grounded and have 12V to it. The "trip" wire would be from the original accessory feed coming in and the output to the 2nd accessory wire. Thanks.

How did you wire the relay?
Sounds like you may want to look at how you wired it up. You went into a lot of detail on the diode to "not remember the specifics". Check around on the site and I am sure you'll find the a diagram to wire up 2nd Acc. or Ign. etc...
What I meant by that was...the diode, was simple! One side to one wire and vice-versa...flow is right way, no biggie!! As for the relay, I don't remember the exact #s off the top of my head is what I meant!! I use the plug in harnesses and just know by memory which wires go where!! Anyhow, Thanks.

Try a bosch relay with a diode between pins 85 and 86. or try a double output relay [87a and 87 are connected together unon activation and no connection when inactive..]that will giveya 2 outputs off of the 1 accy output from your rs..or the 10 amp diode. a guy would think that would do the trick. That is a new one...
