hi , installing a valet 561t r/s to a 2007 F350 diesel, took r/s out of 2004 excursion.the only wires that were hooked up in excursion are:

heavy wires as normal at ignition harness

ground

white - parking lights

WHITE/ red-? in kick panel

customer was using ford factory remotes with 3 pulse trigger. my questionis the WHITE/ red wire does this attach to the blk/light blue in kick panel for the door trigger ,will be using ford factory remotes on 2007 F-350.

thanks

george

no, the door trigger wire does not control the activation of the 561t.  Remember, if your using the factory remote the WHITE/ red ALWAYS goes to the lock motor wire.  Just the lock wire will not do the job.  Use a thick pink/black in the driver kick.  Test by probing the pink/black and pressing the lock button on the factory remote. Should pulse pos.

Your also going to NEED to use a pulse timer to delay the starting of the trunk.  You cannot use the wait-to-start wire.  Hopefully you know about the glow plugs and why this is necessary
