Hiya...just a quick question...

I have an older Viper remote that's starting to die. I replaced the battery, and it's still not happy. I have a remote from a Crimestopper unit...I wouldn't be able to use that would I? Probably wishfull thinking :)

Thanks!

Crime stopper and Viper use completly different signatures for their remotes. They are incompadible.

Which number do I have to match, the FCC ID, or the other number that reads 476v? I'm looking around ebay and I see some for my alarm, but it says 474v instead of 476v. Do I have to get the exact one?

the 474V replaces the 476V...      they are identical...

the 476 was the larger 4 button green LED remote and the 474 is the smaller 4 button green LED remote....
