Ok I have an Aladdin A-2000 Im installing on a 2000 corolla

I have the wiring diagram as shown below but here are my questions:

1) Which wire would I use for Heater/AC?? Is it the same as accessory wire?
{Im assuming it is?? Or is it not?}

2) I have a second ignition wire obviously so I just hook it up as the wiring diagram says for systems with 2 ignition wires correct? or do I need a relay since the Aladdin sends a (-) polarity and Ignition is (+)??
{I am pretty sure I need a relay to convert the (-) polarity to a (+) polarity just want to double check}
ALSO If I have a second Ignition can I still do a starter Interrupt?? IE I do the Second Ignition and then the Starter Interrupt and it shouldnt conflict?)

3) Does anyone know what the clutch switch (this is a manual) polarity is for a corolla and if it is a simple switch?? If it is a negative polarity I am ok but if its positive I need another relay correct?
{Im assuming it will be positive polarity and Ill need another relay but I dont know if it is a simple switch can anyone verify??}

Thanks for all and any help!!

1) Which wire would I use for Heater/AC?? Is it the same as accessory wire?
{Im assuming it is?? Or is it not?}

  • BLUE/RED

2) I have a second ignition wire obviously so I just hook it up as the wiring diagram says for systems with 2 ignition wires correct? or do I need a relay since the Aladdin sends a (-) polarity and Ignition is (+)??
{I am pretty sure I need a relay to convert the (-) polarity to a (+) polarity just want to double check}
ALSO If I have a second Ignition can I still do a starter Interrupt?? IE I do the Second Ignition and then the Starter Interrupt and it shouldnt conflict?)

  • Use the polarity converter diagram they have on page 19 of the install manual. The starter disable will have no affect on the 2nd or primary ignition.

3) Does anyone know what the clutch switch (this is a manual) polarity is for a corolla and if it is a simple switch?? If it is a negative polarity I am ok but if its positive I need another relay correct?
{Im assuming it will be positive polarity and Ill need another relay but I dont know if it is a simple switch can anyone verify??}

  • If it is a (-) then just attach the WHITE P9 wire to the wire that test properly to activate the starter. If it is a (+) then you will require a relay to convert the polarity. Go here for a full explanation to clutch bypass and how to test it yourself:

Ok that is intersting that Blue/Red is both Accessory and Heater/ac I thought that the HEATER/AC only showed 12V when in the ign and start positrion while ACC only showed 12V in the acc position so how is it that ACC and Heater/AC both connect here?

The BLACK/ white makes the engine run.

The BLACK / YELLOW powers the climate controls.

The blue/red powers the radio, power mirrors, and so on----you don't need to power this during remote start, unless you want to.

I don't know about the clutch; you'll have to test to see how it operates.  Remember, the clutch will probably have two switches----one is to let the engine start, the other is to cancel the cruise control----you'll have to try each one to see which is right.

Is the cruise control connection required for remote start Chris? If so can you elaborate on how that works.

Ok I think I completely understand know... so the 2nd ignition acts like a heater/ac line so I can connect the acc and the heater/ac wire from the alarm to the blue/red

Well I think that is all I need unless somehow my car doesnt start tommorrow LoL in which case I may need a little more help.

iskidoo: The clutch can have 2 switches if you have cruise control but you wont use the cruise control one for the remote start youll use the other switch!

Blue/Red is the ACC wire that you need to attach the P6 BLUE wire to & also the PINK P10 wire. You will need to add a relay to engage the BLACK / YELLOW second IGN wire. If the radio blew a fuse somewhere, that's probably because you shorted something out while installing the system. Did you folow proper start up procedures as per instructions on page 14 ??
