How do i make Rear Wiper -delay timer?

What components would i need

-555 timer?

relay (what type)

Capacitor (what type)

or a pulse timer

Does anyone have a simple circuit i could get details on. I live in NZ...

Cheers in advance ( i am not very electronically minded)

Maplin (UK) do a 555 based on (or off on!) unit as a kit, I'm using it to replace the not working factory unit on my own car as an intermittnat wipe so I know it works.posted_image

J.C. Whitney used to sell them for the older cars that didn't have delay wipers. They were made for front wipers, but I'd imagine they'd work on the rear too.

I'm not sure if they still sell them, but I was thinking of taking a look there myself, for my own car. www.jcwhitney.com
