I want to put a remote start alarm on my car, but a few shops told me that i need 2 keys, 1 key to stay in the module.  I only have 1 key and cadillac and locksmiths want to charge over a $100 for another! Any ideas? Do i even need 2 keys?

Heres a module that you dont need a key in, the only thing is, im not sure if you need to have both keys to actually program it. I dont do many GMs, and just started using this brand.

Thats all gonna depend, are you doing the remote start yourself......if not, most shops wont work with a product they dont know...and if they do, they're gonna charge you extra for it. Your best bet is to check with the local shops and see who carries a module similar to this. To give you an idea on price, i found one on ebay for about 45. Anyway you look at it, its gonna cost ya.

As long as you have a multimeter , some basic electrical knowledge, and patience you can do it. If you run across something you can't figure out....just post it on here and im sure someone will help.
