Has anyone had intermittent issues with the Alpine SEC-100 not always unlocking the doors when disarming?  Once out of every four disarms the doors will not unlock.  Would reprogramming the system cure this issue?

My friend installed the exact same alarm and is having the exact same problem. I've tried everything to fix it and still no luck. The next step is a different alarm.

Just out of curiousity what kind of car is this in?  Does the car by chance have - locks and you are not using relays?  Just a thought maybe try adding a relay if this is the case.  If not, please ignore me. posted_image

I agree with Player69......... add a relay to the system and see if the issue continues.

Thanks for the follow up.

The system is installed in a 2001 Toyota Tacoma with all power options.  In addition, the range of the alarm is very poor especially if parked near other vehicles.

Make sure you position the antenna outside of the blue tinted area above the rear view mirror.

You can add relays if you want, but you don't need to.  You will have to hook up a couple diodes to isolate the child safety unlock.  Here is a diagram.

Its funny, i had the same alarm and the same kind of car and the exact same problem (funny how that works out) Did you ever resolve this issue. Also could the child safety lock issue be the cause even if its a 2 door? Do we know for sure wether its the car or the alarm?
