There is no immobilizer in the key. There is nothing in the key. Go get a blank cut at walmart if they can or the dealer and try it. If that doesn't work your ignition cylinder is probably on its way out.

What kind of security against thieves is then? some kind of immobilizer is the only thing that I can think of that cause this problem... because I can turn around the key but nothing...
it`s not the start Engine

The security is built into the ignition cylinder itself, not the key.

Yes, the Trailblazer has PASSLock II, which means the antitheft system is part of the ignition switch.......GM vehicles with a security chip in the key, have PASSKey.

Next time it won't start, observe the "SECURITY" light on the dash.

--Security light flashing: You have a Passlock problem. The ignition switch is a common failure point.

--Security light comes on steady, then goes out: Passlock is OK, and you have some other problem in car.

I agree. I have a 02 cavalier and if I use the wrong key (just to test passlock out) the car wont crank or anything and the theft light comes on. Then you have to wait like 15 minutes befroe you can try again (even if you use the real key).

no no no  you cant disable passlock. You dont want to either. Passlock will prevent anyone from hot wiring your vehicle. You need to get a passlock bypass module

a bypass module wont turn off your passlock. Here is how it works..... Once you have the remote start/alarm and the bypass module installed, when you go to remote start the vehicle, the remote start signal goes to the bypass module. The bypass module then gives the passlock a code which makes the passlock think the key is in the ignition. The correct code then enables the vehicle to start. The only time when this happens is when you want to remote start. So then you will insert your car and turn on the ignition then push the brake pedal to dissengage the remote start. If the wrong key was inserted or no key was inserted, once the brake pedal is pushed, the vehicle shuts down. If the car is hot wired, the passlock wont sense a key in the ignition. Understand?

I dont even think you can actually disable it. The passlock is located in the ingition lock cylinder and work together. If your passlock is the problem, try using a spare key to start. If it is still the problem, then you need to replace the entire cylinder.
