Wiring Connections
NOTE: It is not necessary to use the BLUE or ORANGE wires
when using the ESP2 interface. Cut the wire short and
tape the ends for protection. All other wires are mandatory
for normal operation.
Wire Descriptions
” RED / ORANGE / BLACK - Bitwriter Cable is the data
connection to the Directed ESP2 system. This
three-pin plug goes to the three-pin BLACK port
on the side of the security system.
” BLACK - Ground wire
” BROWN - (+) Siren input wire; security system siren
and trigger wire regardless of ESP2 compatibility.
” YELLOW - Ignition input wire
” BLUE - (-) Unlock trigger output wire
” ORANGE - (-) Ground-when-armed output wire;
starter interrupt trigger.
Two-Pin Power Harness Connections
” RED - (+) 12 volt constant
” BLACK - Power ground
1. Using a multi meter locate a 12V constant source
at the ignition harness and attach the RED wire.

one last question if you dont mind, the included starter kill has an two wires, a yellow and a pink coming from 86 on the relay, i'm not sure where the second one goes, i was going to hook it up like a normally closed starter kill relay but ran into a snag with that extra wire...any idea where it needs to go? thanks again

I believe that is so you can cut the ignition wire and solder one side to one wire and the other side to the other wire (I think). I have aways built my own just always have. 86 ignition, 85 grounded when armed, 87a starter side and 30 key side of starter.

yea makes sense now why there are two wires but like you said a normally closed relay setup will work just as well...thanks again for your help
