I wanted to know if the reomote for the alpine 8440 is compatible with the 8440. The only difference I noticed between the 2 are the fcc id: 8040: A269ZUA097, 8440: A269ZUA096.
I was told by a couple venders that the remote for the 8040 is discontinued. Any help would be great.
Thanks in advance
Davidds.

Dose the remote for the 8440 look like the one for the 8040?  If it dose, then the remote should work with it.  It would just need to programmed to the alarm.  If you need a new remote try this web site, autotechs.com and search for alpine alarm remotes.  If you have any other questions, let me know.

I don't have the remote. The alarm came installed with the Fiero I purchased. The only thing I'm concern about is the FCC number on the brain. It's A269ZUA097 and the remote is A269ZUA096. Will that still work?

Thanks

Is the alarm an alpine 8040?  If it is the 8440 remote will work with it.  Autotechs.com should have the remote.  I can help you with programming it if need be.
