here is a trivia question for everyone:

why is there a seperate fuse for the parking light output?

Have you ever watch the movie Gone in 60 Seconds ? There are scenes in that movie where the guys take a metal object and short out the parking light circuit which inturns shorts out the CPU of the alarm system. With a fuse in line, the fuse will blow, but the alarm will still function. Seeing that the parking lights are so easily accessible to a thief it's only logical to place a fuse in the parking light circuit.

Lets not forget that people tend to hook up trailer lights straight to light wires and not seperate relays cause higher current pull.

I think I see that your getting at the fact that there should be a relay between in the car already which turns on the lights. This might be true and might not.

My Blazers dome lights melted the connector on my excalibur without popping the fuse. I overkill now and seperate relay them even in above case.
