I just got a comustar R/S installed into an 08 Armada using an idatalink bypass. Everything has worked out great with one exception. After remte starting and getting into the vehicle I can;t do key takeover because I can't move the ignition switch. It has a smart key, but once remote started it won't find the key to allow u to unlock the switch. I am thinking key sense might fix this. Anyone familiar with these and if so, did u correct this prob and if u did do u know where and what color the keysense is? I am searching arond the BCM right now, but thought I would see if anyone else was familiar with this scenario.

After taking some time to look at the whole picture with this, turning a key sense on and allowing the switch to be turned would end up in a potential theft situation. All a person would have to do is climb in and turn the switch, now the car is ready to run. Some inconvenience in having to shut it down and then drive it, but better than allowing it to be stolen.

if you hook up the keysense that activates when you insert a key, the vehicle will allow proper takeover if the intellikey is present in the vehicle.

I probed around for ahile and found nothing to use. I only had an intellikey though, no actual key was dropped off.

the key slides out of the intellikey and should have the transponder built into it.

I've done a bunch of the 2007 Infiniti QX56, which is the same vehicle. I encountered the same problem, and didn't find a solution. Connecting keysense didn't seem to help either.
This probably doesn't make you feel any better, but the same thing happens on the 2007 Maxima, and I'm pretty sure on the Versa and Sentra too.
We've been just having the customer get in, tap the brake to kill the car, re-start it, and drive off.
What extreme1 said gave me an idea. I think he's right........that if you don't mind withdraing the metal blade key from within the Intelligent Key remote, you should be able to insert that in the ignition and do takeover.
