I put a rs in a 97f150 hooked the relays for the door locks up according to the diagram in the door lock section and it will lock but not unlock.  I am getting neg pulse on both sides of the alarm (lock and unlock).  Any ideas??

Thanks a bunch!!

wrong wire? what wires are you using in the truck? did you test them first?

Ideas:
1. You are on the wrong wire in vehicle.
2. Your RS is not providing enough of a negative trigger output to trigger the factory relay
3. The door lock actuators are on their way out and will need to be replaced soon, try increasing the unlock output pulse length to make up for the dying actuators.

I'm not by the truck now but if I remember right the wires were pink / YELLOW and pink/green.  I tested them first and after i clipped the wires they wouldn't work unitll I jumped across them again so I'm sure they are right.  My brother took the truck with him so I won't be able to try anything else for a few days.

Thanks

Pretty sure I figured it out.  I used this diagram

posted_image

it shows 85 of the left one and 86 of the right one tied together as 12v, but my relay plugs have diodes in them so I have to use 85's 12v and 86's to alarm output.  Thanks for your help and please let me know if this is correct.

After you clipped the wires, had you identified correctly the lock / unlock wires are on the switch side ?

use one lead of your meter on pin 30 of lock relay & other lead on pin 30 of unlock relay, see whether you read anything on the meter when you press lock & unlock on your remote.
