Just bought a car with VIZION VZ1WAM-R car starter. Does anyone know what "turbo mode" is and how it works and "passive locking" what it does. THANK YOU

Turbo Timer run will run the vehicle a few minutes after you have left it (to cool down a turbo). Passive locking will lock the doors automatically when you turn the key on.

And with "some" vehicles...is not a good idea. you could lock your keys in the car.....with it running.  Seen it!

I myself would try and get into a programming menu and change that feature to active.

I have NEVER had a customer want me to turn on passive locking.

Either have I.

Turbo mode on the remote unless you have a turbo car or truck. If not i would worry about it. Passive again you don't want on. If your doors are locking without you pressing anything i suggest you turn it off. Look at the back of the remote it will tell you to press buttons unlock and trunk together for HALF a second. Your parking lights will flash ONCE for ON and TWICE for OFF. Word

How about the "timer start mode"? I'm looking for that option to start my car like every 2-3 hours for 10 mins in -30 weather. Love this site very helpful... thanks

In my opinion Timed start is only good for those -40 nights and you do not have a block heater or do not have access to a power outlet. I have one guy who works overnight 12hr shifts at the airport - he uses it on very, very cold nights. Not many others do. Oh - and make sure you have enough gas to last until you get back to the car.posted_image
