Car: 95 Tbird Coupe with stock power locks

Unit: Viper 500+ with 4 relays for the doors....

Here is the issue... Friend came to me saying the power door locks stopped working on the passenger side with the remote. A few months later the same thing but on the driver side. The switches still work. So with the remote basically nothing happens as far as door locks go, except SOMETIMES it will unlock only on the passenger side. I swapped the relays around and it changed doors... I was thinking relays were jacked but I have nothing to test them with me. Even after I moved the relays around, it still would not lock, it would only unlock. Again, sometimes it would try to unlock and sometimes it would do nothing. There are also 4 relays... which I was confused about because the install manual was saying it needs 2. So what do you guys think? Relays? Maybe the brain? I checked all the wiring and everything looked good... all butt connectors.

Any info would be greatly appreciated!! :)

Thanks guy,

Nathan

I didn't change any of the wiring, it was installed by a shop. It had worked before....

You may want to get 2 new relays that are 30/40amp rated and replace, and check fuse for power going to relays and check ground connections. I would trace to where the connections are made in vehicle to see if they are solidly made.

The wire I'm test'n isn't doin' what it's supposed to be doin'... I am so glad I printed that tech sheet, with the wrong info.
Do it right the first time... or I might have to fix it for ya

fuses check good. Do you know where I can get just the relays or will something easily found work fine? There is also 4 relays all together... not sure why though.
