hey every1 @ 12v. well i just dug up some old electronics of mine and found that i have the prestige APS155CH sitting and collecting dust. i do many alarms and plan to wire this badboy up for a school project of mine(car model). I still have the original fobs, siren, led, valet switch, owners and installation manual ! ahhah. I know most of the pinout on the harness. however, on the side of the unit, there is a GREEN wire that is in a loop and a BLACK wire with a male and female butt connector to join the wires together. just want to know, any audiovox dealers here or anybody can tell me what they do on the alarm unit?? thanks

WOW. I haven't seen one of those for a some time. The green wire loop was for voltage sensing. If you don't hardwire the door pins the alarm will use voltage sensing to detect the dome lights (not recommended). Cut the green wire and hook up to the door pin circuits. Cutting the wire turns off voltage sensing which is prone to false alarms. The black wires with the connectors are for active or passive arming. Disconnect them for active arming.

to be honest, i never knew what that green wire was for. Well, it was some guys car before that i removed to install his pager compustar. I guess his old installer did a half ass job and didnt bother to use the doorpin. well good thing is i wired it properly, his new compustar and its actaully clean, not a crap load of wires.
