Hey guys, i just came across this board, and it's awesome...

I'm currently trying to figure out how to make a custom "one touch" window module, first off i don't really feel like buying one, and secondly it's interesting, also while i'm making one i can put some custom stuff in it.

So my question is, how do i wire up an overload circuit? I'm sure you know what i mean, but if you don't... A relay with a digital circuit activates when i supply voltage to it (there's a separate always on DC power source) which then applies power to a motor. when the said motor jams (get to the end of it's path) the circuit will load up, so here is what i need to do, have the dcc flip flop circuit drop the state... All i need to know is how to wire up an overload detector... and also how to "calibrate" it.

I'd appreciate any diagrams or such. thanks

You could create a circuit using a latching relay with a circuit breaker to cut power. You would have to send power directly to the window motor from a relay with a breaker in between. My advice is to just go on e-bay, and buy a window rollup module, and wire it to open your windows. A breaker alone will cost over $10 plus the cost of relays.

It sounds like your pretty set in wanting to make your own.  but if you decide differently I suggest going to Asian wolf.com to get a "smart" rollup module.  It can roll 2 windows up and down or 4 in one direction.  Most modules I've seen can only do one direction.

Good luck with the overload circuitry!
