Anybody see Rides last night on TLC?  They were showing this shop called 702 and showed a 6 minute portion on how the installer was building a door panel (trim rings, fleece, resin, Rage Gold (or wahtever they use), More Rage Gold, sand, sand again).  This was more informative than the usual shows (Pimp My Ride).

That was a nice piece for say someone who is just getting started with panels.  I learned everyting by doing it and reading articles.  Now I can literally build a door panel straight out of floral foam or styrofoam and a disk sander to shape it.

Overhaulin is also not as informative (I like Chip Foose and only wish some day to have his drawing skills).  They focus on the prank and keep messing with the owner and before you know it the car is ready (but no explanation on how something is done.  It should be more like each episode they show you how to they 1 thing from A to Z and spent a small amount of time on the rest of the car as well.
