I have a car that has 4.5 vlt amp turn on and 12vlt amp pwr I need a 12vlt amp turn on for my fm modulator but I cant figure out hoe to wire up my relay

I would just find a wire in the fuse panel that is,"hot with ignition on" and wire your remote wire to safe side of that..........          Make sure you install a slightly larger fuse!     Thats the easiest way to do it... no relays, no mess. Keep it simple

You could use a 5vdc reed relay.

You could also use an NPN transistor to drive a PNP transistor.

You could also use an NPN transistor to drive a standard relay.

You have quite a few options, I personally would just find a 5vdc reed relay and be done with it!
