Hello after having successfully installed an alarm into my car I'm looking to some how use a relay as almost a regular switch function.

here's what I was thinking would this work?
I just want it to open operate like a switch so I could use the remote to activate or deactivate this function... posted_image

Why? The alarm's already doing this without wasting an aux output. Your source wire going to 86  will have to be ignition sourced otherwise the relay will be drawing current and feeding whats at 30 all the time. All you're doing is adding a needless complication.  Just use this diagramme to feed say headlights. (Fuse the input).

As Howie said, you've got to be careful doing something like that because if you leave the relay latched it will kill the battery quickly (less then 48 hours typically).  If your output is a self resetting timed output then all should be good!
