I was reading about the passive starter kill on this site, and was trying to figure out the diagram (https://www.the12volt.com/relays/page2.asp#psk).  Can someone please explain to me the purpose of the right relay, and especially the top red wire connecting pin 85 of left relay to pins 85 and 87 of the right relay and the switch.

One more question.  This might be a dumb one!  Why couldn't you just use some sort of switch that manually opens and closes the starter wire contacts for the starter dissable, instead of a relay?

Let me make my question a  little clearer.  Once the switch is pressed and contact is made, current will flow through it and through the top red wire, which seems to me would completely bypass the relay on the right, making that relay redundant.

I am wanting to install a starter disable soon.  I know one of you experts can help.
