Hello,

My first post here, I'm working on a project which I think a relay solution could work, my knowledge is limited so hopefully someone will be able to point me in the right direction.

Essentially I am looking for a circuit which is triggered by a PIR which is connected to a sequence of contacts 1, 2, 3, 4...

Each time the PIR is triggered the contact moves on in numerical order.

ie
PIR triggered then contact 1 closes (others open
PIR off
PIR triggers then contact 2 closes (others open)
PIR off
PIR triggers then contact 3 closes (others open)
...etc...

I hope that makes sense!

Thanks in advance for your help.

Equivalent to a mechanically interlocked switch... (All off or only one output.)

Tho others like HotWaterWizard may have relay circuits, I prefer using electronics rather than complex relay logic if more than a few relays are involved.

I recall a simple sequenced circuit used as a combination switch that uses SCRs but I can't find any images, nor its original hardcopy.

But I goggled seekic.com circuit which looks pretty good - ie, 2 inverters (1/3 of a 14 pin hex inverter chip) & 3 diodes plus whatever output buffer (transistor, MOSFET; 2ma-30mA relay coil + spike suppressing diode; etc) per momentary switch.

If you require a sequenced version, I could try to find the SCR circuit...
