I am having trouble with triggering 2 amplifiers to power on via remote lead thru a SPDT relay. This is a boat installation with a JBL headunit and 2 PolyPlanar ME-400D amplifiers. The remote lead from the stereo connects to the SPDT relay on terminal #86, 12volt constant power is connected to terminal #87, ground is connected to terminal #85, and terminal #30 is connected to a distribution block so that I can fuse the leads to each amplifier.
I have tested the relay at rest and get continuity and ohm readings thru terminals 87a and 30. When energized, I can hear the relay switch when the remote turn on lead from the headunit powers up. However, the relay seems to not be passing power on to turn on the amps.

I am very confused about what to check next. I have previously used SPDT relays to trigger multiple amps with this same setup, not necessarily the same equipment, without any problems.

Diode across the coil for a start to prevent damage to your head unit, 1N4004 band to 86.
Now check output at 30.

Amateurs assume, don't test and have problems; pros test first. I am not a free install service.
Read the installation manual, do a search here or online for your vehicle wiring before posting.
