Not an electronics person so be gentle please. I want to activate a 12 volt latching relay using the two wires that control the electric door locks on my 2015 Silverado. The relay will control a magnetic lock that I have installed on the toolbox in my bed. Of course the aim here is to activate the toolbox lock when my cab doors are locked. Is this possible?

Omron dual coil 12V latching relay, Farnell, Mouser etc.
