I am looking to wire a relay in for a fuel pump, using an oil pressure safety switch.

Planned Wiring:
30- 12v Power
85- 12v common from oil pressure switch
86- ground
87- line out to pump
87a- key switch power.

To the oil pressure switch I have key switch power for power while cranking, and 12v from starter solenoid for power while running.

Looking at my plan I may need to move pin 30 to output to pump, and 87 become 12v from battery.

I've done them before, without ever using 87a. From doing it this new way it should turn on using key switch power, then have power while cranking, and of course the oil safety switch works as normal.

Any thoughts? My concern is that the way I plan to do it will mean that with key on the pump will be powered 100% of the time which would defeat the safety switch.

Thanks for the help
