Hoping someone can help me identify which type of relay I need to make the attached wiring diagram work.

it's to operate a power trim motor on a boat, and it needs to reverse polarity on the motor to trim up/down. I can follow the diagram, but i need to identify which type of relay is needed???posted_image

Those are standard 12v relays (SPDT- single pole double throw). You should be able to get them at a stereo shop, or even an auto parts store. The terminals are actually oriented as in the diagram you posted. Make sure they have all 5 terminals, as some are missing the middle terminal.

Thanks for that..

The drawing shows them as 2 different relays, but I suspect that's a mistake.

Haha, I thought something didn't look right, and I didn't know what it was until you said that. The bottom relay has the terminals configured as they should be- with the middle terminal horizontal.
