I'm installing a backup camera monitor in the dash of a '67 corvette. I want the monitor (5") to rise out of the dash when I put the car in reverse. I'll use a 12 volt actuator with built in limit switches. When I put the car in reverse, I'll get a 12V+ signal to trigger the actuator to extend and thus push the monitor up out of the dash. I want the monitor to stay up for an adjustable amount of time (5-10Sec) even if the 12V+ signal is removed (ie car taken out of reverse), then the actuator should reverse and bring the monitor back down into the dash. I think I can use two relays to reverse the polarity, but need to figure out the time delay part. How do I delay the polarity reversal when the 12V+ signal is removed? Any ideas?
Thanks in advance.
