Hi all, one looked around the forum for an answer to my question without success so apologies if it has been answered elsewhere.

I bought a 4 pin relay, the plan is to connect 3x 12v cigarette lighter type outlets to my car. After unsuccessfully taping into an ignition only fuse I decided my only option was to route the power directly from the car battery, I'm going to use an in line fuse from the positive of the battery to the relay, now the relay comes with a fuse which can be attached to it rated at 30amps.

Can I daisy chain the 3 outlets you the same relay, if so should I use a smaller size fuse? Or do I need to use 1 relay per outlet?

I'm a keen Learner but have no prior experience wiring, any advice/suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

Thank you.

Use a much smaller fuse. You can connect all 3 to the one relay.

Ok thanks, do you think I should just bypass the relay then as I have an in line fuse between battery and positive terminal to the outlets?

If you want them to be powered constantly you can skip the relay. If you want them to go on and off with the key you will need the relay.
