I am doing new Alpine setup which has more 12V Constant (yellow) wires than my previous and was told I should use a relay.  Could anyone tell me EXACTLY what hooks where as I am kind of new to relays..  In the past my system usually consisted of maybe 2 yellow wires thus just hooking into factory wire but I am not sure the factory wire can handle such a load..  New setup is using head unit with 2 constants, EQ has 1, XM has 1, DVD changer has 1, etc...  Jeff at Velocity said the relay would be best I just am not sure exactly what hooks where..   THANKS..

For constant I would recommend hooking to the main power wire in the ignition harness, the only reason I say this is relays will eventually go out and this way there is no relay involved with main power. While you can use a relay for main power it will draw more current on your battery( if you leave the car parked for extended periods of time the battery will go dead). You may want to wire a relay for the turn on leads. If you are going for show(SQ) then you should probably grab power and ground at the same place as all of you other equiptment( amps ).
