I want to connect a number of leds and scanners to my cars security system. It is a sigma alarm.

I would like my leds and gadgets to turn on when i have armed my car. However the LED on security system is only about 30ma and hence cannot power additional devices ??? is there any way doing this??

My car is a 1993 toyota supra.

many thanks in advance

This is one way of doing this, to an existing alarm installation.

All you need to do is add two isolating diodes to the starter kill relay.

The first isolating diode will be placed on the *ground (-) while armed* This diodes cathode (stripe side) will be facing the alarm CPU, the other end is still attatched to the stater kill relay.

From there, you will tap in (before the first diode from the alarm CPU.

The second diode (Cathode / striped side) will be again, facing the alarm CPU, and the other end of the diode will be used to turn on the extra LED / scanners.
