My Dad has a 2002 Ford Escape that I put my old deck in, a Pioneer Premier 450.  I took it out of my truck because my sub would "pop" everytime I turned off the deck.  He has the premium stereo which has a sub but I don't have it hooked up because of this pop.  If I were to put a SPST relay in between the deck and the amp would this stop the pop?  Any suggestions would be appreciated.  Thanks!

They make turn on delays for this. Might be your best option for your old deck.
