In case there are too many variables with height and width of a slot port to make a calculator, all you need to do is convert the round port to a slot or square port with the same surface area. For example, a 6 inch round port has a surface area of 28 square inches. This will be the same as a port of 2 X 14 inches, or 4 X 7 inches or a square port of 5.3 inches.
The formula for for determining the surface area of a circle is, PIE X Radius Squared. A 6 inch port 3.14159 X (3 X 3) = 28.27431
4 inch port 3.14159 X (2 X 2) = 12.566 Which is the same area as a port 1 X 12 inches. Or a 2 X 6 inch port.
Hopefully he can help you out with a calculator, but if he can't I hope this helps you.
It's on my list. I'll do what I can to make some time to knock it out this week-end.

The slot port length calculator is finally available. I used your math in the examples above to calculate the diameter of an equivalent round port based on the area of the slot determined by the width and height fields, but I did not round off Pi, so the output will differ slightly from your examples. Give it a try and let me know if this is what you wanted.

Actually I used my own math, but I did base it on converting the area of the slot to that of a cirlce to get a diameter to calculate length.

Thanks guys! I am sure that this will help not only me but others as well. I appreciate it.

You know you have the right amount of pressure when your eyes start to water! Now you've got Juice!
You're welcome. I only wish I would have had the time to get to it sooner.
