New here, and of course searching for some info that I can't seem to find...
Maybe someone can push me in a direction.
vehicle is a 2006 toyota highlander and I am working on a crimestopper remote start RS-1304DP.
The remote start will function, but the alarm triggers when the doors are locked. I know that this has to do with the door unlock relay and diodes that I have yet to install. They supposedly go to the violet, gray and brown wires in the passenger side kick panel. I have spent more time looking for these wires than I want to mention here... (Color blind on most of the color spectum doesn't help matters). I am now thinking of trying a different angle on this. I have seen that the factory alarm can also be diabled using the green wire on the ign harness (keysense) and wire it to the "status output" on the remote start. (this does not come from the install manual, but what I could research on this site). My question is, the unit does not have a status output. Only a -500ma max disarm wire (which is pulsed I believe). I don't think this this would work in my application because I think the keysense wire needs to be constantly grounded. Can someone shed some light on this?

When remote start is activated it should have a wire that is a ground while running wire. Use this wire to the keysense wire and if it goes to a bypass module, diode isolate. If there is no ground while running then you will need to invert polarity with a relay if you need it to be a negative.

Pin 3 yellow/black for negative ignition output hook up to green keysense
door locks in Toyota are negative trigger
brown is child safety @ ECU PLUG B10, PIN #11
light blue is unlock @ ECU PLUG B10, PIN #13
red is lock

The wire I'm test'n isn't doin' what it's supposed to be doin'... I am so glad I printed that tech sheet, with the wrong info.
Do it right the first time... or I might have to fix it for ya

I have checked the manual on page 4 and see what you mean. For some reson when I read it in the past (many times) it was not clear. I guess because of the relay involved as an option. (more options than the bread isle at the supermarket...)
Also, you mention that the door lock colors are brown, light blue and red. Possible because you are naming a different location than mine. I am wondering if my doorlock wiring print (passenger kickpanel) that was given to me is wrong for a 2006 (it does say 2004 highlander on it, but was told that it doesn't matter and they are the same).
My print for the door lock pass. kick panel shows one added relay and three diodes:
Toyota gray wire going to relay coil(86) and (-) lock/arm pulse after being diode isolated.
Toyota brown wire being cut, and one end to common(30) on relay, One end to NC(87a) on relay.
Toyota violet wire going to the (-)unlock/disarm pulse and the NC(87a) on the relay with diode isolated on both.
Maybe I have been looking for the wrong color wires all along.

Oh, and I forgot on the relay coil (85) 12 volt constant power from somewhere in the car. (I'm not sure if it is available somewhere in the kickpanel for the door circuit already).
But I guess that connection on 85 was pretty obvious to routine installers...
