I have searched everywhere including this website for the colors of wires for the speakers in my 2004 dodge ram 2500 with the infinity sound system. All of the sites have the wrong colors or most of them dont match up. What is the deal? Can anyone help me?

What exactly are you trying to do to the vehicle?

Also the colours change from the door to the amp. There's the old school but tried and trusted method of metering from the speakers back to the amp.

+1 on exactly what you are trying to do.

If you are trying to bypass the amplifier have fun. It took me 2 hours the first time I did one because you basically have to take majority of the dash out to get to the amp behind the glove box cavity. It is held in by (i think 4) bolts, which one is extremely hard to get to. Speaker to amp input colors change usually at the amp, that is why you are probably having conflicting colors. And sometimes in rare occasions they switch wire colors. Best way to do it is by pin location on the two harnesses into the amp.

Otherwise if you are just putting in a head unit, just buy the harness.

the only info i have is from the radio harness to the amp in the veh...which as was stated is behind the glovebox

Are you installing a aftermarket radio and want to bypass the amp? or do you need the wiring info for other things?

If you just adding in a radio check out Metras 70-6504 for ampbypass or chto-01 for amp intergration.

Yes a amplifier bypass kit would work well. Usually it takes us too long to get the part in, we just do it by hand.

Also I don't believe a 2004 uses the turn on harness till 2005. I will have to check at work in about 6 hours.

Use the metra harness as this will save you headaches.the 2004 & 2005 infinity systems need the bypass harness because there's no remote turnon for the infinity amp. I've done 3 of these systems inthe past 6 months and like everyone says, it's a pain in the butt without the harness.
