You can grab the 12 volts power at the DKP along with the parking lights and brake lights as well. There is a GRAY connector with these 3 wires located there. RED is the 12 volts + and the PURPLE / WHITE (x2 ) are each parking lights and brake, check with a DMM to verify connection.

Thanks to "kreg357" for your help with the wiring diagram for a 2010 Ford F-150 Supercrew. I was installing a power tailgate lock but the instructions that came with the lock had the wrong colors for the proper wire hook ups. With kreg357's post I was able to finish the job!
