Desperate need of a wiring diagram for a 1993 Damon Challenger RV. It's the Workhorse (GM drivetrain). Not the Ford. Customer wants a Navigation installed, and I can't find any information on the Speed sense wire anywhere. I have called Thor RVs (bought Damon out) who sent me to GM, They don't keep files on hand over 10 years. Tried searching GMUpfitters, but don't have access to the information.

If anyone could get me close it would be greatly appreciated.

93 Damon Challenger
last 8 VIN: P3308432

Thank you in Advance!

What kind of unit are you installing? If it is a good unit, (Alpine, Pioneer, Sony or Kenwood or such) the only time it will use the speed sense wire is if you are driving through a tunnel or a parking garage (Places where you lose GPS signal)

Old school, look for a 3 pin plug around the gearbox , or assuming an electronic speedo, at the rear or ABS unit if there is one.

I have no information or hands-on experience with this chassis. However, GM wiring strategies and wire colors are often uniform across many platforms. If any of these wires and colors common to many early 90's GMs can be found in the following locations, this may help you identify what you need.

Vehicle Speed Sensor (raw output) grn/wht and pur/blk twisted pair.

Speedometer blu/blk at instrument cluster.

For vacuum operated cruise control: Yellow wire at control module (not the servo itself).

For electro-mechanical servo: grn/wht or RED / wht at Pin K of 10-pin connector at servo.

Great idea! Thank you, I will be back in the RV tomorrow. I will keep you posted as to what I find. Thank you for the ideas...   Sometimes you get caught in a box of relying on printouts.

It is a Pioneer unit and would most likely work without, but I really like things completed, less complaints later if something does cut out.
