good day everyone. hoping some ford and dodge experts here may be able to shed some light on a problem we are facing, we are a custom fab shop that has just been contracted to install lighting systems for law enforcement vehicles. one of the things in the contract is the ability to goto stealth mode thus killing all vehicle lights. we know we can do this running custom made relay boards throughout the truck but were hoping that there was a simpler way to kill lighting on demand. anyone have any suggestions. thanks

"Throughout the truck" - you don't mean for every light or circuit? It should be sufficient to open the fuse circuits.
Of course that's a risk - if whatever normally conducting relay fails (probably using NC contacts) whist driving...

It would be much better to kill the signal, but I guess that's CAN etc?

our relay boards weve used in the past are basically just spst relays we run the circuit in the NC position for regular driving but if the law enforcement officer wishes to use stealth mode ( mostly for conservation officers) they need to disable every light. brake lights reverse lights daytime runners etc... like i said weve done this in the past on older vehicles with relay boards but was hoping there was a better way or some kind of canbuss interface that would accomplish this. thanks
